Konic Xcorpio QR Code Manual System The Konic Xcorpio QR Code Manual System revolutionizes pigeon race management by replacing the outdated rubber ring system with a modern manual live system. This innovation eliminates the need for traditional pigeon clocks, offering a cost-effective, efficient, and real-time solution. At the basketing facility, the same Club Unit used in the advanced RFID RRTech system is utilized. Instead of scanning RFID rings, fanciers scan the QR codes on the bird’s permanent metal ID ring and on a reusable plastic leg tag. After scanning, the Club System links the QR code on the leg tag to the metal ID ring for that specific race, officially registering the bird. Once registered, the pigeon is placed in the race basket. If a bird is equipped with an older metal ring that lacks a micro QR code, the Club System allows for manual entry of the ring's data to ensure compatibility and smooth registration. The reusable plastic leg tags, which cost only R4.50 each, are collected after each race, stored in a bag with over 100 others, and randomly drawn for future races. This makes the cost of the tag a one-time investment over its lifespan. When the pigeon returns to its loft, the QR code on the plastic leg tag is scanned using the Konic app on the fancier’s Android smartphone. The bird’s arrival time, location, and race data are instantly uploaded to the Konic website. Within seconds, the system matches the basketing data with the arrival details to calculate and display the bird’s velocity in real-time. By doing away with the need for expensive pigeon clocks, the Konic Xcorpio QR Code Manual System ensures accessibility, affordability, and fairness while bringing the benefits of live results to all fanciers, even those using older rings.
